Icelandic courses

MSS offers Icelandic courses level 1-5 based on the curriculum Icelandic for foreigners that is published by the Ministry of Education. 

The courses emphasizes on understanding and speaking as well as writing, listening and reading. In addition, grammar is integrated into the curriculum based on the group's capabilities.

An attempt is made to adapt the study material, presentation and progress of the study to the participants. A variety of methods are used in language learning to accommodate a diverse group of students to practice all the skill components. By diverse methods we mean individual, pair and group work, extra material, games, cards and more. In addition they train communication and we encourage students to practice expressing thoughts, opinions and feelings.

We also offer work-related Icelandic courses for companies as well, where the emphasize is on work related vocabulary, we can adjust the courses to the needs of induvidual companies. Feel free to contact us for further information.

A minimum of 80% attendance is required to receive a graduation certificate at the end of the course.

Courses starts when minimum participation is reached. MSS reserves the right to move and change dates and times if necessary.

If a course is paid for by a company/institution or the person is entitled to a stipendium for the course fees, MSS must be informed at the time of registration.
